Description of what’s needed:
Conraui are an absolute joy to own. Being a diurnal species, they are a great display animal and sit on my work desk for day long enjoyment. They need an escape proof enclosure due to their micro size. We mist ours daily. A planted tank is very much beneficial to them and recommended. UVB is also highly encouraged, we use Arcadia 6%. Their UVI is zone 2-3.
Temperatures/ humidity:
Basking: 90F
Ambient: 72F-78F
Humidity: 60%-70%
Diet/feeding:
Cameroon dwarf geckos can be fed a staple diet of pinhead crickets, hydei fruit flies, isopods, firebrats and springtails. Generally, hatchling Cameroon dwarf geckos should be fed springtails or melanogaster fruit flies, adding hydei and pinhead crickets as they grow older.
Feeder insects should be dusted with a vitamin/mineral supplement. Cameroon dwarf geckos can also be offered Pangea once a week to supplement their diet.
Breeding:
Conraui breed like rabbits. They are egg gluers and care should be taken to not remove the eggs from whatever they are attached to. They will use egg laying tubes which can be removed for incubation. We have had luck around 72F-74F. Hatchling care is the most stressful. Hatchlings should be raised together for at least a couple months as they feed on the beneficial bacteria from the other hatchling droppings. We raise our hatchlings in groups of 2-4 in our 4-4-8 hatchling boxes
